Then Jesus called the crowd to Him

along with His disciples and said,

“Whoever wants to be my disciple 

must deny themselves and 

take up their cross and follow me.” 

Mark 8:34

  Is it necessary for us to buy into the American dream:
go to college, get a job, buy a house, climb the ladder, save for retirement etc...?  
Could we possibly find ourselves in this invitation from Jesus,
this offer to come after Him?
He clearly said,
”The only way to save your life is to lose it.”
